Job Description:
Provide Canadian and US GAAP advice and counsel on complex external financial reporting and accounting matters. To develop, communicate, implement, and co-ordinate the This institution’s accounting policies.
1) Review Business opportunities and provide accounting advise
2) Monitor and develop Canadian and U.S. accounting standards and assist in their implementation
3) Assist with the update and maintenance of Corporate Accounting Policies Manual;
4) Provide assistance in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports;
5) Work on special projects ¡Due diligence, US GAAP reconciliation’s,
6) Supervise Staff within the department
7) 2nd in Command for this division

ALLOCATION OF TIME:
1. Advisory services to business units and Strategic Initiatives on business Issues - 20%
2. Maintain the This institution’s Corporate Accounting Policies Manual - 20%
3. Monitoring accounting standards and responding to changes that impact this
institution’s - 25%
4. Preparation of financial reports - 20%
5. Working on special projects -5%
