Job Description:
1) Manage day-to-day operation of accounting functions in general accounting
2) Prepare reports and statistics detailing financial results
3) Ensure adherence to the company transactional policies and procedures for accounting operations
4) Supervise Accounting staff
5) Handle all responsibilities related to monthly and quarterly accounting and financial reporting
6) Prepare and review schedules and journal entries for month-end closings
7) Reconcile, analyze and adjust general ledger accounts
8) Prepare schedules required for Form 10-K and Form 10-Q
9) Assist in quarterly reviews and annual audits
10) Maintain relationships with external auditors and company personnel
11) Prepare schedules for federal and multi-state income tax returns
12) Supervise and train accounting staff
13) Prepare schedules and documentation for savings and investment plan audit
14) Handle all activities related to cash management and bank reconciliation
15) Review capital spending against budget reports
16) Create ad hoc Great Plains
17) Perform special projects

Job Requirements:
1) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
2) Certified Public Accountant (preferred)
3) 3-5 years of experience
4) Knowledge of GAAP and FASB
5) Knowledge of accounting systems with ideally Great Plains experience
6) Excellent interpersonal skills
7) Ability to effectively function with all levels of management
8) Solid understanding of Excel
9) Good communication skills
10) Ability to meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy
