TIG Welder – Huntsville, AL
Detailed Job Description:
**Must have precision TIG Welding experience on
aluminum, stainless steel, and other exotic
metals.**
Welding, soldering, and brazing fabricated parts
into assembled components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Interpreting drawings and sketches and
working to verbal instructions to determine weld
specifications, process specifications, print
dimensions and tolerances.
2. Adapting standard shop practices, methods,
and job sequences to accomplish required tasks.
3. Fitting parts to print tolerances and
dimensions.
4. Must be certifiable for all types or welding,
including MIG (metal inert gas process) and TIG
(Tungsten inert gas process) on steel, stainless
steel, aluminum, and exotic aerospace metals.
5. Checking work in progress and finished work
with appropriate measuring tools.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
Requires four years of experience in the required
types of welding in commercial, military, and
aerospace work. Must know fitting and assembly
practices, welding symbols, welding filler metals,
welding gases, and related safety requirements.
Must know weld filler metal control, pre and post
heat requirements, and procedures for quality
welding.
