Job Description:
Management Recruiters of Shorewood Hills’ client, a stable and well respected company with career growth potential and an excellent working environment, is looking for a Senior Accounting Manager. Based on experience and qualifications, the position may be filled as an Accounting Manager.
Duties of the position are to:
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of quarterly and annual financial statements and budgeted financial statements on an IRFS, statutory and regulatory basis
• Manage and ensure integrity of accounting and financial reporting information and present explanations to management
• Manage staff to achieve performance standards. Provide development opportunities and mentoring
• Direct/review preparation of applicable financial statements and reports
• Work cross-functionally to ensure business issues are resolved
• Prepare/review written analysis of issues to enhance the understanding of senior management. Make recommendations
• Apply technical accounting concepts for multiple bases of accounting
• Oversee adherence to company’s internal control framework
Job Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting
• Minimum of eight years of directly related experience
• Demonstrated supervisory/management experience
• Experience with Hyperion/Essbase technology and multi-dimensional database structures preferred
• Insurance and/or Public Accounting experience preferred
