Architectural Metal Fabricator in Calhoun, Georgia is seeking a hands-on shop foreman and installation foreman. We specialize in fabricating and installing architectural metal work for the commercial building industry. Within the past year we have purchase several state-of-the-art pieces of equipment, including a 20 foot x 400 ton Niagara Hydraulic Press Brake, 20 foot Farnham Aircraft Rolls, AXYZ 5616 CNC 3 spindle router, HYD-MECH MIG-A Horizontal Saw, and a 2000 watt Amada Pulsar Laser. With this new equipment and highly-motivated, results-oriented, qualified personnel, we will be positioned to become a national leader in architectural metal fabrication. The qualified candidate we are seeking for the SHOP FOREMAN would have 15+ years of metal fabricating experience and be currently responsible for 10-20+ shop personnel. The Shop Foreman position requires demonstrable proficiency working with Press Brakes, Shears, Rolls, CNC Laser, CNC Router, Saws, TIG Welding, MIG Welding, AutoCAD, CNC Punch Press, Iron Worker, Notcher, Milling Machine, Lathe, forklift operation, metal working hand tools, and computer proficiency (MS operating system). Some other duties include: strong emphasis on QUALITY CONTROL, coordination of work flow through the shop including scheduling of material to be received for fabricating, scheduling of fabricated orders to be delivered to the customer, weekly production and safety meetings, inventory control coordination, employee attendance and disciplinary action, applicant screening, administering weld tests to applicants, housekeeping, customer and vendor interaction, corresponding via email, shipping and receiving coordination, checking of drawings or blueprints for discrepancies & equipment PM program.
