Job Description: As part of our worldwide project to implement SAP, we have a permanent position opportunity within our global SAP CO Team as North America - SAP CO Functional Leader whose mission will be to lead, coordinate and deploy our global integrated SAP template in our North American sites while ensuring our key principles of Speed, Service and Simplicity are respected. The position will report into of our SAP CO Global Stream Leader and will work with our SAP-FI/CO consultants (on-shore and off-shore), our local Firmenich Finance Business Representatives as well as our internal Competency Center Community resources. In addition to extensive finance process expertise and SAP CO exposure, particularly in Product Costing and Overhead Management, it requires a great interest in cross-functional processes, particularly in understanding Finance and Controlling processes and their interdependencies with the other functions (e.g. Sales and Distribution, Transportation, Make, Inventory Management, Demand Planning, Purchase-to-Pay). It also requires a strong interest in Reporting as well as close coordination with our Group Finance Functions (Group Reporting, Group Consolidation and Group Controlling). It involves selected change management activities as well as securing that knowledge on new processes is understood and retained within our business. The position is based in our US headquarters in Princeton, New Jersey, and includes an initial on-boarding period of 6 to 9 months (with regular home leaves) in our worldwide headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland participating in the implementation of our solution in Europe. Career prospects: After this assignment (18-24 months), prospects include key responsibilities within future company-wide Competency Center Community, within our Finance Business Process Excellence Team, or a key Finance role in our US headquarters. As the position holder will further gain deep exposure on Project and on Change Management methodologies involving internal stakeholders from different countries as well as international consultants, this experience can as well prepare her/him to take over key roles in project management or future process change initiatives (not limited to SAP).
Job Requirements: Job Responsibility: - Gain the required understanding of our global project standards, business global solution, and detailed FI/CO business processes during the initial onboarding period in Geneva, Switzerland - Develop a detailed understanding of the group and local reporting requirements (legal and internal) in order to secure business and corporate performance processes - Upon return to the US headquarters, explain and demonstrate global solution to sites and help them getting ready for SAP implementation - Understand and filter local controlling requirements and translate them to our functional and development consultants - Lead, Execute, coordinate, participate and follow-up on selected SAP CO workshops, Unit Tests, Integrated Test Cycles, preparation of cut-over activities, and support including hyper-care activities (immediate after go-live support activities) - Participate actively in and functionally supervise the data migration processes - Adapt business process and training documentation - Support Project planning and lead CO tracking activities on the North American deployment of SAP - Understand main SAP configuration and maintenance steps Profile: - Local candidate willing and able to work in Geneva, Switzerland for approximately six months. Will be able to work from Princeton one week per month during Geneva portion of assignment. - Prior experience specializing in Product Costing and CO-PA and EC-PCA in a manufacturing environment. -Leadership experience for multiple CO implementations to include hands-on design and configuration within SAP. - Certification in SAP FI / CO is a plus. - Deep SAP system knowledge, SAP CO implementation experience a must - Fast grasp of key finance processes within Firmenich - Team player - Change Management skills - Interest to learn - Stress resistant - Tenacity - Result driven and ability to remain focused and simple - Interest and ability to work autonomously to a plan and to manage work - Ability to gain commitment from sites over our global template solution - Interest and ability to train super-users - Ability to work in cross-cultural team Education : - University degree in finance or accounting, certification in accounting a plus
