Job Description:
Mechanical Design Engineer
Huhtamaki, the global consumer packaging specialist, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to add to their growing team. This position focuses on designing high-performance Packaging Machinery.

Job Duties:
- Manage all aspects of design for packaging equipment and in-house converting machinery from “cradle to grave” including conceptualization, design, and documentation.
- Manage project budgets up to $500k (up to $2000k annually) and direct projects through all phases including assembly, debugging, training and installation.
- Responsible for startup of new equipment lines in Huhtamaki converting facilities and customer plants.
- Prepare and present reports, project updates and provide frequent written communications to management.
Requirements:
- BSME with Three years industry experience preferably with proven machine design responsibility.
- Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office products is minimum requirement; AutoCAD and Pro-E software is preferred.
- Possess fundamental understanding of pneumatic and electrical schematics, troubleshooting, and PLC programming.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact with a variety of personnel levels in a fast pace environment managing multiple priorities also required.
