Senior Network Engineer - Cisco

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
* Manages a network system to ensure stable global network infrastructure
* Works closely and collaboratively with the Director of IT Operations
* Responsible for the divisions voice/data infrastructure including the planning, design, and installation of those networks
* Performs analytical, technical and administrative work on an on-going basis to optimize the data/voice networks
* Develops tactical plans to support the data and communications networks
* Communicates status of systems and plans with IS&T management
* Required to troubleshoot complex data/telecommunication problems
* Manages software/hardware network related roll outs and upgrades
* Helps provide direction to and support of the daily help desk activities and user interaction
* Researches, evaluates and recommends hardware/software changes, upgrades or enhancements for the division
* Evaluates vendor products for possible implementation in the company infrastructure and helps develop standards for desktop applications
* Maintains/expands technical knowledge of data and voice systems
* Other related duties as appropriate and required by your supervisor
* Reports to the Director of Operations
Job Requirements:
* Must be fluent in TCP/IP and routing protocols, Internet technologies related to network infrastructure, routers, switches, routing and routed protocols.
* Complete understanding of provisioning and implementation of Telco services and VOIP
* Must have a broad range of knowledge in Cisco Networking Systems
* Full understanding of load balancing and fail over technologies
* Expert level in network security and architecture
* Expert understanding of managing, architecting, and maintaining VLANs, SANs, WANs, and LANs
* 7+ years hands on experience designing and managing complex network environments
* BA or work experience equivalent
* Proven project management skills
* Project management of enterprise-wide network, VOIP, and wireless implementations
Desired Certifications (not required):
* Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA)
* Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
* Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
* Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
