Job Description:
Technica Corporation is in search of a Jr. Routing and Switching Engineer, with a network security background. Must have a Top Secret Clearance.
Engineering support for operational network to include escalated operational issues, implementation planning and support, as well as CONOPS documentation.
Job tasks include:
· Operations and maintenance of the infrastructures required for the Customer environment.
· Timely alerts to the designated government representative when additional storage or computing hardware is required to maintain the availability or performance of the Customer functionality.
· Application of required and appropriate patches to CNT environment.
· Develop and maintain documentation required to operate and maintain the Customer infrastructure.
· Help desk support to facilitate problem resolution for FBI users as they relate to Customer.
· Support for the Customer hardware configuration controlled items (HWCI) and software configuration controlled items (SWCIs) to include but not limited to security administration, backup, user account and configuration management.
* Operate and maintain systems that provide content checking services on all inbound and outbound email traffic that traverses the Customer for unauthorized content and malicious code.
· Operate and maintain systems that provide mail relay services for the MIMEsweeper for SMTP server and provide email address conversion.
· Operate and maintain systems that provide content byte stream checking services for unauthorized sensitive content on all Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) traffic, URL filtering, and malicious code scanning. This is to include the processing and handling of quarantined messages.
· Operate and maintain systems that authenticate and authorize users via a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol lookup to Active Directory in FBINET.
· Operate and maintain systems including Microsoft SQL 2000, Veritas NetBackup, HP Openview, and Cisco Access Control servers.
· Document system failures and corrective actions. Recurring failures, or those that remain open, will be reported to the designated Government representative for corrective action.
· Support bi-annual COOP exercises as scheduled as required.
· Consult on mitigating security vulnerabilities.
· Respond to the day-to-day security requests.
· Provide security reporting.
· Coordinate all changes to the system(s) with designated stakeholders.
