Job Description:
Provides analytical assistance in the management of one or more mega servicer portfolios. The Portfolio Manager will also assist with strategic consulting to gain best in class servicing performance.


Job Requirements:
• Execute strategic account plans to minimize risk and losses to Fannie Mae and increase Servicer effectiveness.
• Ensure access to current servicer data related to performance and strategy
• Build/maintain relationships with key servicing personnel in the Servicer’s shop
• Handles the response to and resolution of escalated calls and email messages from Servicers
• Will be required to travel frequently to location of assigned servicer(s)
• Provides a rapid response for adverse or special situations with Servicers
• Monitors high-risk Servicer performance and activities
• Conduct file reviews to ensure servicers have deployed Fannie Mae loss mitigation standards
• Input loss mitigation cases in HSSN
• Review and approve loss mitigation cases in DARTS
• Provide subject matter expertise or an as needed basis
• Analyze problems and develop problem resolution strategies
• Ensure servicer compliance with MBS Trust
• Ensure servicer complies with the Fannie Mae servicing guide for all areas of servicing
• Review servicers delinquency reports to ensure servicers accurately code delinquent loans
• Review servicers reclassification and modification procedures to ensure Fannie Mae capital is maximized to assist homeowners
• Review servicers campaign management and collection processes and provide process improvement consultation
• Track and resolve advocacy issues related to assigned servicer
• Ensure servicer has proper staff ratios to process workouts
• Ensure servicer staff is trained on Fannie Mae loss mitigation procedures
• Meet monthly with management and staff to establish target goals and work with servicer during the month to reach monthly goals
• Ensure the servicer has effectively deployed Fannie Mae delegation and provide feedback to Fannie Mae directors if changes are needed to improve workout penetration
• Review all declined cases to ensure workout could not be offered to home owner
• Review and approve workouts
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration preferred) or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in mortgage servicing preferred
• Strong general and non-traditional servicing knowledge and experience, including but not limited to servicing risk management, loss mitigation, investor reporting and accounting, and default management
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently under fast-paced conditions with changing priorities, within established guidelines and procedures and be fully accountable for decisions/actions
• Must be able to correlate varied data related to a servicer’s performance, draw accurate conclusions, make recommendations, and persuade the appropriate partners to support ideas
• Must be able to create and integrate new concepts and approaches focused on generating innovative solutions to business problems
• Must exercise intellectual honesty and influencing skills by identifying and presenting information and/or data in ways that are persuasive to others
• Must be able to execute and delegate deliverables to ensure that timelines and results are achieved by holding self and others accountable
