Job Description:
The Rooms Division Manager will direct and supervise the operational activities of the hotel’s front and back office within hotel guidelines to provide the highest standard of service, while permitting acceptable profit levels. The Rooms Division Manager will promote the maximum use of the hotel facilities and coordinate the activities of various meetings, groups, concerts, and special events. The incumbent will oversee all room blocking, room revenue management and yield management.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality or related field preferred.
2-3 years Hospitality experience, specifically in a supervisory or management role.
Able to read, write and speak fluently in English language.
Familiarity with a variety of Property Management Systems.
Ability to accurately compute mathematical calculations.
Familiarity with yield management and cost controls.
Strong budget, accounting and forecasting skills.
Basic proficiency in computers, including Microsoft Office and database applications, e-mail and Internet.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional guest service skills.
Must work well within a team and be able to motivate Team Members.
Must be able to effectively supervise and manage subordinate Team Members.
Must be detail-oriented and able to find solutions for problems.
Must have the initiative, self-discipline, and the ability to organize and direct the work of others.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
