Job Description:

This is an excellent opportunity to join our staff in a role that will provide strategic direction for ATK Tactical Propulsion and Controls locations.
Alliant Techsystems, Tactical Propulsion and Controls Division, with an office located in Rocket Center, WVA is currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer that understands and will be able to apply electronic principles, theories and techniques in the design, manufacture and test of laser and electronic devices preferably in the safety of critical devices.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Perform various design and production tasks involving ISD, fuze, or similar products.
- Share in product engineering responsibilities for production programs.
- Conduct design reviews as major presenter; visit customer locations & participate in safety reviews.
- Generate marketing proposals and participate in marketing activities.
- Review ordnance safety requirements and evaluate compliance.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 8 years experience with analog/digital electronic design, lab testing, and instrumentation; safety critical devices desired.
- Background in system/application engineering with some safety review experience
- Experience with component & assembly vibration, structural & thermal analysis; ESS & HALT
- Experience with marketing activities including proposal generation & customer presentations.
- Ability to make clear technical presentations.
- Strong interpersonal skills, experience with customer relations; good time management skills.
- Lean manufacturing and six-sigma production process experience.
- Computer modeling and simulation skills are preferred
- Position does require domestic travel with some limited international travel
- Must qualify for DoD SECRET clearance and be willing to work any shift.
- US Citizenship is required
