We have been retained by our client in their search for a Senior Financial Analyst. This is a permanent, direct hire opportunity located in Latham, NY. Salary is $60-70,000/year, based on experience.

Position summary:
Develop and plan the preparation of financial analysis and reports including the operational and capital budgets, financial statements, statistical reports, cost analyses and other information
Work with other departments of the company to gather and process data needed to prepare the company-wide budget
Maintain the monthly and annual P&L forecasting reports
Track profitability of new product launches
Assist in the month end closing processes
Analyze profitability by customer and business units
Provide financial support to the sales and marketing teams
Coordinate complex financial projects
Assist in developing and implementing the management of financial and cost accounting systems
Assist in developing processes and procedures in the department as necessary
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar
MBA is ideal
6-10 years experience in financial management or cost accounting
Familiarity with SAP is preferred
Must have strong analytical skills, ability to make decisions and a strong attention to detail
Experience working in a manufacturing environment or within financial planning is preferred
Strong leadership qualities
Ability to think creatively and outside the box to make company contributions
