Purchasing Analyst / Buyer
Toronto $ 44-50 range
Essential duties and responsibilities-
In-depth computer literacy is required-spreadsheets at the expert level ( macro-pivot tables) ect.
-In-depth knowledge and experience with purchasing/inventory management systems.
- Responsible for ensuring that all customer requirements are met. Acting in compliance with technical standards as it relates to job description. Buyer has the authority to issue purchase orders which are to be approved by the purchasing director or a signing officer.
- Review acquisitions, conferred with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule.
- Negotiate prices and contracts within scope of authority.
- Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of issues taking corrective actions
- Analyze, identify and arrange for return of surplus and obsolete materials.
- Maintain inventory and purchase order system. Generate purchasing and inventory activity reports and analysis.
