Job Description:
Senior Network Engineer
Position Description: BEAIR Enterprises, LLC is seeking a full-time Senior Network Engineer at a client sites in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait and Camp Lemonier, Djibouti. The qualified applicant will provide Modeling & Simulation (M&S) for Network Cyber Security utilizing toolsets provided by the Theater Network Management Architecture (TNMA) toolsets to include OPNET, NETCOOL, Packet Design, NetQos, Remedy, ArcSight, Opsware, Tacacs, CNCM, and other tools for the Southwest Asia Theater networks. They will also manage NETCOP development and deployment using a distributed virtual network server hierarchy. Further duties include: Assist with obtaining the existing architectures, traffic applications/profiles, and customer “what-if” requirements in order to convert baseline information into a viable network model to test cyber security, interoperability, assess the communications burden, aid in development of contingency plans, and evaluate emerging technology supporting the operational capability of a major military activity. Applicant will assume responsibility for NETCOP to be Fully Operational Capable (FOC) at all times, and provide operations and maintenance of the other toolsets assigned. Other responsibilities will require the candidate to provide intelligence for users in network operations, engineering, planning, and application development to optimize performance and availability of networks and applications.
Domestic and international travel is required for this position.
Experience Required: Five (5) years of experience with large campus and/or enterprise networks. Excellent interpersonal and strong verbal/written communication skills, as well as a high level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment. This position will require access to classified information and applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance issued by the U.S. Government. Previous military training and experience desired.
Special skills required: CCNA, CISSP certifications; working knowledge of OPNET; familiarity with SP Guru technology and VNE server a plus.
Education required: BS in Engineering or Computer Science preferred. Or a technical AA degree with 8 years relevant experience. Or HS diploma with 12 years relevant experience. Military advanced electronic communication schools desired.
