Job Description
Design and support cooling systems and mechanical packaging for high power electronic equipment used in broadcast transmission applications. Cooling systems designed will employ various methods including air and liquid coolants, passive and active circulation, high fin-density heat sink technologies, vapor-phase, and others. Analysis and design tools used include COSMOSFloWorks, SolidWorks, MacroFlow, MS Excel, MathCAD, etc. Additional responsibilities may include packaging design of transmitter subsystems and systems.

Education Requirement: BSME or BSMET
Years Experience: 2+ years of experience required
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
Qualifications: Knowledge of thermal concepts used in electronic equipment design; experience with air cooling, associated test equipment and test methods (liquid cooling experience a plus); experience creating mechanical assemblies from design concepts and inputs, along with knowledge of DFM/DFA/DFT, sheet metal fabrication, mechanical hardware, and documentation systems (experience with mechanical packaging of electronics preferred); experience using numerical thermal analysis tools (CFD, FEA, FNM, etc.), 3D CAD (SolidWorks, preferred), and standard PC tools (MS Office); knowledge of and experience with materials (properties, strengths, compatibility, etc.) used in cooling systems; and effective organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
