Job Description:
The Materials Manager will focus on managing the key activities surrounding the material control function to include: purchasing, receiving inspection, inventory control, shop floor material disbursement, property management, transportation and shipping. Will also participate in strategic business planning and budgetary activities, refinement of existing policies and procedures, monitoring of benchmark data, evaluation of proposals, selection of suppliers, and managing key supply chain relationships.
Will lead and develop appropriate staff, set and achieve team and individual goals, maintain the master production schedule and develop and deliver best-value, lowest-cost solutions to sourcing initiatives. Will work closely with Program Management, Quality and other departments to ensure conforming products are received on time to meet Customer delivery schedules. The ideal candidate will also have experience in defining, purchasing and implementing an ERP system.

•Monitor the performance of existing suppliers; develop reporting standards and requirements;
•Supervise and lead the activities, development and growth of individuals designated to perform the various material control functions
Job Requirements:
Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in Business and ten years electronics industry experience in planning / scheduling, purchasing and warehouse management
•A working knowledge of FAR / DFAR and prime contract flow down requirements.
•Experience in purchasing electronic, sheet-metal and machined components and assemblies from drawings and Statements of Work
•Advanced Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Access
•Experience with materials planning software packages
•Assist QA with Returned Material (RMA) processing
Preferred
•MA / MBA
•APICS Certified
