POSITION TITLE: Network Administrator
REPORTS TO: Director , IT Infrastructure
LOCATION: Denver, CO
DEPARTMENT: Information Technology


This individual will have primary responsibility for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and support of various network areas including: Cisco Routers, Cisco switches, ASA firewalls, Riverbed Wan Accelerators, Frame Relay Wan circuits, NetIQ network monitoring, CiscoSecure ACS, daily device log reviews and proactive system patching, upgrade and replacement.
Candidate will be responsible for the following:

• All areas of network device(Cisco routers, switches and Riverbed’s) and circuit management, corporate wide, currently two main sites and 25 remote sites.

• Tier one and two support for all network services including but not limited to:
Cisco Routers, switches, Cisco ASA/PIX firewalls, Riverbed Wan Accelerators, Wan circuits, Ciscoworks monitoring, CiscoSecure ACS, daily device syslog reviews and proactive system patching, upgrade and replacement.

• Use available tools to diagnose problems or areas of risk to minimize server and system downtime across the enterprise

• Prioritizing issue resolution and identifying solutions to known problems

Additional responsibilities include the following:

• Backup support (no previous experience required) of Cisco Callmanger, Unity, Voice Gateway Routers and VoIP support at a tier 1 level, not required day one, will train.

Coordination of change testing and implementation in a production environment

• Participate in various projects as a technical expert and/or as a technical resource

• Provide management with scheduled reports on the health, availability and performance of core systems and services.

The candidate must have a thorough technical background with the the ability to function with little to no supervision or direction. He/She must meet the following requirements to be considered for the position;

Required technical skills and/or experience:

• 4 year degree

• Current CCNP or equivalent experience in routing, switching and security. Background as an administrator in small to medium Cisco based LAN/WAN and security.

• Experience working in mid-size network operation centers or multi-site networks

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional experience that is desired(no requirement for below):

• Windows Server 2003

• NetIQ or Cisco works monitoring

• Verizon or AT&T MPLS

• Riverbed Wan Acceleration
