Job Description:
PLANIT Technology Group (formerly known as Dataline Consulting Services)is currently looking for a full time Sr. Network Engineer with strong
MPLS experience to work for our client in Plano, TX.
Job Specific Knowledge:
Sr. Engineer Minimum 5-10 years experience in Networking/Telecom with
Cisco CCNP certification or certification or skill/experience should
commensurate with CCNP certification level. CCIE level experience
preferred, but not required.
Protocols: MPLS, OSPF, BGP, IP, HSRP, MLPPP, QoS, IPSEC
WAN: HDLC, Frame Relay, DS3, OC-x, Channelized Services
Hardware/Software: Strong working knowledge of Cisco routers and
switches including the following: 2600, 2800, 3800, & 7200 series
routers and 2950 & 3560 series switches
Familiarity with: VoIP, ACLs, Cisco Secure (TACACS+), RSA SecurID, AAA,
3DES, DES, GETVPN and wireless broadband, is a plus.
Job Specific Skills to include:
* Analyze technical network and systems problems
* Determine root cause issues
* Develop innovative solutions
* Recommend remediation plans to resolve technology-specific problems in the client's global IP/MPLS network infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
In this position the engineer shall be responsible for supporting
migration of branch and corporate locations from frame relay and point
to point networks onto MPLS. During this process, voice migrations will
occur moving from stand-alone key systems to IPT/VoIP. Providing
technical support to resources in the field, validation testing and
sign-off, troubleshooting, escalations, documentation updates, interface
with departments such as the NOC, coordination of failed equipment
replacement, etc. are all required.
