THIS POSITION WILL BE FILLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH EXECUTIVE ORDER S-09-08. Under the direction of the Senior Telecommunication Engineer, the Associate Telecommunications Engineer (ATE) is responsible for the District 10, 800 megahertz public safety radio system. The ATE will initiate and maintain liaison with the districts while planning and scheduling events and activities required in the implementation of projects in cooperation with other organizations. The ATE will assist in the preparation of plans as well as the execution of programs, studies and reports related to those plans. This can include acquisition and operation of telecom equipment. Successful candidates must have a through knowledge of telecom systems and FCC rules and regulations. Applications will be screened and interviews may be held.
