Job Description:
DUTIES: You will be responsible for: (1) LAN administration to include performance monitoring, performance tuning, installs, upgrades, backups, recoveries as it applies to the global servers and infrastructure; (2) Managing end user accounts, authorization/security privileges; (3) Troubleshooting through resolution of hardware and software issues; (4) Verifying purchase order receipt verification; (5) Documentation of appropriate physical and non-physical server/LAN attributes as well as documentation of backup and recovery procedures and compliance (server names, server configurations, organizational structures); (6) Collaboration with other IT and user personnel to ensure that the selection of network operating systems, file services, print services, and software products conform to corporate computing objectives, standards, and procedures; (7) Participation in the evaluation of technology hardware and software to determine best solutions; (8) Establishing standard workstation configurations; (9) Configuring and installing server and related infrastructure hardware and software according to organizational standards.
Job Requirements:
MUST have an undergraduate degree (i.e. BA, BS, BBA).
Must have a minimum of 4 years of MICROSOFT NOS (Network Operating System) LAN administration work (non-academic) experience to include performance monitoring, performance tuning, installs, upgrades, backups, recoveries, etc. in a COMPLEX and advanced environment of at least 50 servers (ideal environment size would be 100 servers or larger).
MUST be very customer facing oriented and have excellent communication skills (oral and verbal).
MUST be proficient in Microsoft Windows O/S (W2K/W2K3).
MUST be proficient managing infrastructure in an Active Directory environment.
MUST have: (1) STRONG network management tool experience; (2) Proficiency in configuration, installation & management of virtualized environments; (4) Proficiency in communication protocols, IP routing.
Pluses: MCSE certification. Proficiency in configuration, installation & management of NAS & SAN environments.
