Job Description:
The designer will be involved in developing and designing electrical modifications for the nuclear power industry and will work on a multi-discipline project team engaged in the design of new systems and modifications and upgrades to existing nuclear power plant systems.
Duties include:
Work with customers and outside engineering firms to resolve design and installation issues.
Consult and coordinate with other disciplines to assure compliance with ENERCON standards and codes as well as client requirements and criteria.
Assure compliance with company and customer practices and provide miscellaneous support for engineers and be willing to assist and mentor junior designers.
Job Requirements:
Experience in nuclear, fossil or process industries is preferred.
Kowledge of either MicroStation or AutoCad software packages and other software is required.
Ability to work in a team and provide technical support to the electrical design group.
Candidates should possess strong skill sets in some of the following areas but be knowledgeable in most:
Working knowledge of high, medium and low voltage power distribution systems including NEC Code Book.
Working knowledge of conduit and cable tray routing, cable management, lighting, lightening protection, grounding, duct banks, manholes and equipment selection and installation.
Knowledge of security, communications and fire protection systems.
