Job Description:
The ideal candidate will participate in the daily operations and maintenance of the 0.23 MGD Extended Aeration Wastewater Treatment Facility, collection system and remote lift stations in Greenville, NH. The candidate will also be trained on the daily O&M of the 0.45 MGD, conventional Surface Water Treatment Facility, distribution system and raw water pump station as directed by the Project Manager. Primary focus will be in operation and maintenance of facilities equipment, grounds keeping, and process control monitoring and troubleshooting. The candidate must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays, as required for emergency call outs and assigned shifts. This position will manage process data, perform routine lab analysis, operate SCADA controls and perform computer data entry and other operation and maintenance tasks as directed. This position is 1st shift, 7:30am-4pm.
Must obtain or be able to obtain a New Hampshire Grade 1 or 2 Wastewater Operators Certification within 6 months of employment.
- High School or trade school diploma is required; any working knowledge of water treatment or performing operation and maintenance tasks to include any equivalent combination of education and experience is a plus but not required, will train a motivated candidate.
- New Hampshire Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator's License Grade I (minimum) or the ability to obtain through the operator's exam or reciprocity within 6 months a must.
- A valid Class D motor vehicle operator's license.
- Working knowledge of the principles, procedures, methods, equipment, materials, and tools employed in the operation' and maintenance of Wastewater Treatment and Pump Station Systems.
- Thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions involved in wastewater treatment work.
- Knowledge of computer applications.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply instructions, drawings and specifications for work assigned.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, other personnel, and the general public.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
