Job Description:
The candidate will apply engineering methods and standards to support detailing and safety and to evaluate the items and processes produced to ensure that these meet the client requirements and applicable standards.
The candidate selected for the position will perform routine and complex engineering work on a daily basis. The scope of work involves planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities; performing engineering design work; calculating costs; and conducting various studies. This individual works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. May plan, assign, or supervise the work of others.
Job Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in engineering or a related field. Candidate must have 5 to 10 years of experience in the field of tank design and proficiency in Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry and able to perform complex design calculations and equipment analysis. Knowledge of engineering principles techniques and procedures and of higher mathematics; drafting principles, techniques, and procedures and building construction methods and components is required. Skill in the use of computer-aided design techniques is required. The ability to draft plans and drawings; to interpret field notes, sketches, plans or specifications, design details, or specifications for accuracy is required. Ability to supervise and train others is required. Experience in engineering design work in a Mechanical discipline. Employment is contingent upon the ability to pass required pre-employment screenings i.e. drug screen and background. Position requires the ability to lift, push, and pull 50. lbs., bending, kneeling, walking, and sitting.
