Job Description:
Manages, plans, coordinates and directs quality assurance programs designed to ensure adherence to established quality system requirements and standards, including FDA, ISO and MDD requirements.
Job Requirements:
Sound understanding of FDA, ISO and MDD regulations.
Possess sound project management capabilities, including the development of project plans, coordination of projects, prioritization and planning of work activities, completing projects on time and in budget
Must be computer literate, highly proficient in the use of MS Office, and Outlook. Prior use of MRP systems highly preferred.
Must be able to write business correspondence and technical documents and effectively present the information responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Hold the ability to calculate mathematical concepts including probability and statistical inference.
Must be a problem solver, responding to a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Must be detail-oriented, possess sound communication skills, written and verbal, and able to work a flexible schedule.
Visual acuity or corrective vision required for this position including close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
Possesses initiative, common sense and analytical/problem-solving characteristics.
Able to speak, read, and write in English, bilingual Spanish/English a plus.
Education
Bachelors degree in science (biology, chemistry) with an emphasis in quality management. On-going QA training and/or seminar attendance preferred.
Experience
Minimum of five years of related quality assurance/quality control supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Medical device and/or wet manufacturing experience preferred. Knowledgeable of medical device sterilization methods and validation.
