Currently, Chubb is seeking an Actuarial Specialist for the Warren, NJ office.



JOB DESCRIPTION:



This position is for an Actuarial Specialist within the Actuarial department of Chubb Specialty Insurance (CSI). The position is part of a team which is responsible for developing predictive models to support the Small Business Platform initiative. The purpose of this initiative is to provide underwriting guidance which will sustain profitability and maintain a competitive position within the professional liability market.

The major duties and responsibilities of this position include:
• Developing predictive models to improve the risk selection and profitability of the professional liability lines within CSI.
• Monitoring the performance and usage of the models.
• Assisting in the implementation of the models.
• Participating with the team to analyze and solve problems.

Competencies/Skills:

• Knowledge of Predictive Modeling is considered a plus, but not mandatory.
• Software: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access and Word.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Responsive to service needs and operational demands.
• Produces accurate work products in a timely manner.
• Self-confident and objective.

Education:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Minimum of 4 years of P/C actuarial experience
• Successfully completed at least 4 actuarial exams.
