Job Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is a full-time contractor position for a Nevada Company, that supports the startup operations of a pilot plant. Routine duties include sampling and transferring raw materials and finished products. The technician will be required to monitor the process and make changes in the plant in order to make on specific finished product. The technician will receive direction form the Process Operations Leader.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful applicant will meet the following minimum qualifications:
„X Able to read, understand, and follow safety procedures, and to work safely in a chemical plant environment
„X Education: High School diploma. College level courses, especially in Chemistry and math, are desirable
„X Able to climb ladders and work on elevated structures
„X Able to operate valves and move 55 gallon drums
„X Able to read, understand, and follow operating instructions for a small chemical plant
„X Applicant must successfully pass a drug test and background check prior to employment
WORK CONDITIONS:
„X The job is currently days only, Monday thru Friday, 8 hours/day with some overtime required
„X The plant is scheduled to change to 2 shifts; days/nights schedule in 2009
„X Work will be scheduled on Rotating Day/Night Shift
„X The work is mainly inside of a building, with a small amount of outside activity
„X The job duration is 9-12 months, which may be extended
„X The job will also involve sampling the process and running analytical lab tests
