Currently, Chubb is seeking a Staff Accountant - Bordereau Accounting for the Warren, NJ office.



JOB DESCRIPTION:



Verify and analyze monthly and quarterly underwriting activity as reported by foreign branches, subsidiaries and affiliates, Pools and Syndicates. Recognize and investigate unusual results including utilization of all available resources, and effectively communicate findings to management. Analyze and record foreign branch results on home office books, interacting with the other areas of Accounting, as well as the Tax Department to ensure the accuracy of journal entries. Reconcile ledger balances resulting from underwriting activity, account settlements, and profit and loss on foreign exchange. Handle adhoc projects and assist in monthly closing process. Interact with I/T to resolve systems issues.









Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Minimum 3.0 GPA (overall and major) preferred.

COMPETENCIES/TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Good organizational skills; ability to effectively work on several projects concurrently. Working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Excel. Effective oral and written communication skills. Good analytical, research and documentation skills. Knowledge of PeopleSoft General Ledger a plus.
