Responsibilities Maintain volunteer policies and procedures to assure the legal and regulatory requirements related to volunteer services. Speak to corporations, businesses and community groups, explaining the organization's activities and role of the volunteer program to increase and strengthen their involvement. Coordinate and implement a volunteer marketing and recruitment program. Create volunteer plans and position descriptions in collaboration with program staff. Coordinate volunteer orientations to inform volunteers of policies, procedures and standards of service. Collaborate with Development Director to identify corporate community involvement groups. Develop strategies to engage employees of the corporation as volunteers. Coordinate with Taxpayer Services Director to organize and schedule volunteer training. Coordinate with the Executive Director to train agency staff on working with volunteers. Support the Greater MN Partnership Manager in developing volunteer management training and technical assistance for Greater MN partners. Manage staff to maintain accurate records and provide timely statistical and activity reports on volunteer participation. Design process to evaluate the effectiveness of the volunteer program. Observe volunteer work activities to evaluate performance.
