Job Description:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: o Set monthly and annual sales and gross profit objectives (forecasts) for service, parts, and body shop departments. o Establish detailed record-keeping systems to accurately track sales and production performance versus objectives on a daily basis. o Determine both short and long term staffing requirements for production and support personnel. o Establish goals and objectives for employee development programs. o Set customer satisfaction index goals and coordinate plans for their attainment. o Establish written departmental policies and procedures including, but not limited to: Hiring practices Hours of operation Pay plans and pay levels Written job descriptions Employee training Standards of performance o Assist the service sales staff in identifying and/or resolving vehicle problems on the service lane. o Cooperate with and assist those dealership personnel involved in customer conflicts over vehicle service or repair problems as necessary. o Maintain a high standard of personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance. o Arrive at work, take breaks and lunch, and depart work at the times designated y management. o Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership. Required Experience: Ideal candidate will have: o Five years experience as a Service Manager/Director o Good working knowledge of service and parts operations.
