Job Description:
This exciting and rewarding position involves working closely with the our design staff to implement and further develop our firm's procedures and standards for architectural design software. Using our existing standards, the CAD / manager provides upper-level support for organizing project data, developing custom procedures, and customizing software to make the most efficient use of the technology for project work. In developing new standards, the CAD / manager works closely with the studio leads to produce firm-wide procedures and guidelines that conform with national standards, our firm's close-knit culture, and emerging best practices. Importantly, as our firm continues to develop expertise in projects (typically using Revit), the successful candidate will be guiding training and hands-on support for staff and projects new. Since this position works closely with designers, a thorough knowledge of architectural practice and a keen eye for design are necessary. In some cases the CAD / manager may be placed on projects where expert support is needed, so the CAD / manager must have experience producing architectural drawing sets or models.
