Responsibilities Have in-depth knowledge both commercial & technical areas of the automotive dealership channel in order to focus on business development within the channel Value sell to major prospects (almost entirely new customers) resulting in strong volume, proceeds and margin growth Understand and keep track of changing customer needs and business environments to ensure the most appropriate service providers are assigned to fulfill the customer's needs Ensure necessary customer services in place to support value selling, (e.g. use of specialist distributors to provide appropriate delivery service; regular monitoring of field trials and necessary back up testing; availability of fuels as well as lubes etc.) Develop, update and implement the account plancovering products, services packages, contracts, prices, credit terms and credit limits for key customers and prospects Plan, monitor and achieve individual and team sales targets and be accountable for the growth of the targeted customers (e.g. sales volume, margin, growth, sophisticated and tailor-made customer churn and trade debtor target) Have in-depth knowledge of the key competitors in the sector or product group and understand their strengths and weaknesses thereby exploiting opportunities arising from these Develop new opportunities with prospective customers to acquire new business independently Sign sound contracts with target customers, explicitly managing liability and contractual issues Be proactive in HSSE issues that affect the individual, the office/field environment and their customers including in depth knowledge of competition law Establish own development plan to continuously improve competencies Requirements Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) or equivalent and have approximately 5 or more years of relevant professional experience In-depth, proven technical and commercial knowledge of sector or product group Strong knowledge of customer sector processes In depth knowledge of applications and proven ability to trouble shoot and solve customer problems Working knowledge of CRM tools Basic understanding of SAP/ERP desirable.
