Job Description:
Gone Fishing Consulting (http://www.gonefishingconsulting.com) is looking for a PHP/MySQL developer to work in their beautiful, heritage Gastown office. We are an energetic small company that encourages collaboration and creativity. The ideal candidate is highly-motivated and able to work in high pressure situations.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to design, implement and test new features
* Develop applications using PHP 5
* Be responsible for significant areas of the application
* Maintain and import large-scale volumes of critical data

Job Requirements:
* Post-secondary degree in computer science or equivalent education combined with experience
* 2-3 years experience with PHP and relational databases
* Experience with OO design and programming
* Experience writing SQL scripts and stored procedures
* Strong communication skills a must
* Experience working with Apache web servers
* Experience working with Linux servers
* Ability to multi-task
* Experience with MySQL or Oracle a plus
* Knowledge of design patterns
