We have been retained by our client, in their search for a Senior Firmware Developer, this is a full time permanent opportunity! Located in Clifton Park, NY.
Salary range is $75K+
Ideal candidate will be a self starter with a high sense of urgency. This position is for a great company with opportunity for growth and an excellent benefits package.
Responsibilities:
In this key software position, you will be part of a team of firmware developers responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, documentation and testing of next generation firmware. You will work closely with hardware and software development teams on the integration, delivery and support of the embedded applications, while following life-cycle software development processes and configuration management processes.
Required Experience/Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline and demonstrated experience in a software development environment.
• Expertise as a Linux developer in networking and communication protocols PPP, TCP/IP, UDP, VPN, NAT and IP filtering.
• Experience in Linux kernel, boot-loaders and device drivers on various hardware architectures.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills.
• Knowledge of Managed Switch technology and platform-based hardware/software integration.
• Experience with web page authoring (HTML, CSS and JavaScript for product configuration).
• Knowledge of continuous improvement theory, techniques, process design methodologies and tools as they relate to embedded software applications.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
