In light of this expansion, we currently have a career opportunity for a Senior Database Administrator in Boulder, CO. This job requires the administration and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL databases. Responsibilities
Manage Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL databases in a production and development Data Center environment.
Manage & monitor the Data Centers hardware and software infrastructures.
Perform design, development and implementation work related to the maintenance and expansion of the Data Centers hardware and software infrastructures.
Coordinate with and support Development and other stake-holders as appropriate.
Perform system maintenance as necessary.
Perform on-call duties on a rotating basis.
Required Skills and Experience
Required Administration Skills:
8+ years of development and administration experience with Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL databases to include database replication.
Experience with Microsoft Analysis Services and Reporting Services.
Advanced SQL tuning and development skills.
Advanced organizational, analytical, problem solving and documentation skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
Desired Administrative Skills:
Strong Windows and/or Linux operating system skills
VERITAS Cluster Server for Windows
Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley & Payment Card Industry (PCI) security audits
Education & Certifications:
4 Year Technical Degree (Example: BSCS, BSEE, etc.)
One required, both desired:
o Certified MySQL 5.0 DBA (CMDBA)
o Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)
