Job Description:
A Patient Service Coordinator is wanted to perform coordination of patient care in a local healthcare facility in Seattle by scheduling appointments, providing reception and registration, and updating patient demographics. This is a temporary position that is one month long with possible extension. The shifts will be Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm. Optimal candidate will have prior healthcare office scheduling experience. Knowledge of EPIC preferred.

Candidate will:

• Serve as liaison between patient care providers, departments both within and outside of the clinic, other support staff, and patients to promote communication and facilitate patient care activities.
• Attend team meetings and/or regularly communicate with other clinic staff to plan, coordinate, and document patient treatment or evaluations.
• Coordinate patient schedules with clinic and/or external provider resources to schedule appointments according to patient treatment or evaluation plans.
• Notify patient and clinic staff of appointments, schedule updates, and changes to treatment or evaluation plans.
• Collaborate with medical team to ensure necessary orders and requisitions are properly completed.
• Greet and check in arriving patients; notify clinic staff of patient arrival and direct patients as needed.
• Verify, obtain, and enter patient information.
• Gather and prepare patient charts/records per departmental and organizational standards.
• Coordinate with Patient Finance and insurance companies to obtain insurance authorization for treatments.
• Maintain departmental records; print and distribute various reports.
• Act as liaison between patients and the department and/or clinic, providing information, instruction, and services (such as interpreters) as necessary; resolve problems and serve as patient advocate.
