Job Description:
This includes directly managing staff and volunteers, and/or providing guidance, support, resources and tools to staff who supervise volunteers. The Manager of Volunteer Services participates in strategic planning and budgeting initiatives in addition to problem solving. He/she works within the guidelines, policies and mission of the organization and will be accountable and responsible for specific projects as assigned. Organize the Volunteer Program/Service to include: Developing, administering, and reviewing policies and procedures which guide the Community HealthCorps volunteer programs and services, Manages a $518,000 budget for Community HealthCorps Program. Develop and implement goals and objectives for the volunteer program which reflect the mission of the organization Assess the need for Community HealthCorps volunteers to enhance program/service delivery. Oversees the coordination Unity's Internship Program, the summer youth program, the Maya Angelou Public Charter School winter internship program, and the Teen Health Promoter Program.Min req: Bachelor's Degree in Health Care field required; Master's Degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in volunteer recruitment and coordination. Comprehensive knowledge of Firm regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with requirements.
