Description: We are recruiting for an experienced Estimator that has worked in Commercial Construction on large scale, fast track projects. This position requires an average knowledge of construction plans and specifications, including basic structural and civil engineering, architectural, mechanical and electrical concepts, as well as an average level of pricing, scheduling and construction methods. Must have the ability to learn conceptual estimating and value engineering. Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Estimator – Perform accurate quantity take offs, negotiating, budgeting and client relations, preferably in commercial construction. Reviews, interprets and accurately estimates scope of assigned work as described in the project documents. Application of unit costs and productivity rates, as provided by Supervisor. Solicits and collects subcontractor/vendor bids or quotations.
