Job Description:

Specific experience should include civil, geotechnical, structural, hydrologic, hydraulic, and geological construction associated with planning, design, and construction of water resources projects including dams, levees, spillways, outlet works, penstocks, intake towers, and water conveyance facilities. The oversees the field staff efforts on a project to ensure quality construction, meet the design intent in a cost effective fashion, on schedule and with minimum practicable impact to the local environment and community. The administers construction contracts and has the technical skills to interpret the drawings and specifications and resolve typical field problems. The responds to situations requiring immediate action, informs the Client of potential liability and recommends a course of action if appropriate. Qualifications: 5-7 years of experience on heavy civil or large scale commercial/industrial projects with value greater than $500,000. Must be capable of managing multiple priorities and project staff of 3-10 personnel. Experience with managing procurement from prime and subcontractors on a project and driving schedules to completion a plus. Position requires experience in construction cost accounting, risk identification, and change order management.
