Job Description:
This position will assist in the preparation of mine site permitting documentation, analysis, design, site audits, report preparation, bond calculations, client liaison and construction monitoring and supervision on mining and water resource projects. The focus will be on the development of design parameters from site, investigation data followed by the analyses and design phases of a project and reporting. The position is likely to require some travel to various U.S. and overseas project sites. Fluency in foreign languages, especially Spanish, would be considered an advantage. The candidate shall have at least a BS in environmental engineering, Masters preferred including 5 - 8 years experience with environmental sampling fieldwork, regulations, excellent analytical skills and familiarity with environmental permit framework. The candidate shall also have the ability to interact well with others on a project team and with clients, have excellent written and oral communication skills. Industry experience, mine permitting and water resource experience particularly in mining, would be a plus. A working knowledge of AutoCadd, including volumetric calculation packages such as Civil 3D would be considered an advantage
