Job Description: The successful candidate will be a proactive individual that possesses strong accounting technical skills, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, the ability to effectively manage, develop and lead a team, recommend and implement department solutions and resolve accounting and audit issues. Responsibilities: . Responsible for U.S. broker dealer accounting including monthly trading activity, investment banking revenue, private equity and asset management transactions. Manage performance of certain corporate accounting responsibilities within the following areas: cash, accounts receivable , revenue recognition and certain expense accruals. Manage accounting for employee non-cash compensation. Manage accounting for company's equity including treasury stock transactions. Manage performance of monthly close responsibilities including financial account analysis, journal entry review, accrual review, revenue and balance sheet reconciliations. Maintain relationship with auditors and prepare requested documentation. Maintain ownership and compliance of certain key SOX controls. Collaborate and perform analysis for reporting group as requested.
