Responsibilities: Provide advanced analytic support for Managed Markets contracting strategy, resource allocation, and sales effectiveness within the scope of company Managed Markets business. Specific analytics include but are not limited to econometric analysis of benefit designs, heuristic decision models for account segmentation, and Rebate allocation models. Provide support as to the usage of internal Managed Markets data resources to Commercial Analysis, Data Management, and Managed Markets. Insure Managed Markets data is accessible and integrated with other company data resources for optimal use in analytics and reporting by analysts in Commercial Analysis, Data Management, and Managed Markets. Act as primary liaison with IT on matters pertaining to support of Managed Markets analytic tools and applications such as Copy FIT, Contract Validation Reporting, and Account Segmentation. Assist in the development of commercial measurements and models of the impact of Medicare Part D benefit designs on product utilization. Support Commercial Analysis and Managed Markets needs for advanced analysis and reporting of copy and rejected claims data found within data resources such as Dynamic Claims Analyzer, Consumer Rx Data, or other sources. Working with other groups within Commercial Analysis, partner to integrate managed markets metrics into activities such as targeting, segmentation, promotion response, physician response, sales force size and structure, and resource allocation modeling. Serve as an internal expert on the use and integration of managed markets data resources such as Dynamic Claims Analyzer, Payer Definition Files, and MediMedia. Must ensure that analysis and recommendations are linked to forecasting, managed markets marketing strategy, marketing analysis, and research activities. Clarify customer needs, develop analysis plans, ensure timely availability of data/inputs, perform statistical analysis, summarize research findings, coordinate activities and collaborate with other PRS and MACS analysts/managers (forecasting, ad hoc reporting, media planning, market research, sales force analytics, IT support) to gain insights and ensure correct interpretation, make decision recommendations, improve process and techniques, review research proposals from analytic vendors. Requirements: A BA/BS degree in marketing, statistics, operations research, or other quantitative decision science and 3 years of experience applying advanced modeling and database skills is required. An MBA degree is preferred. A MS degree in statistics, operations research, or other quantitative decision science is preferred. Working knowledge of multivariate statistics, experimental design, and advanced analytical software. Experience using SAS. Knowledge of pharmaceutical databases. Knowledge of Managed Markets.
