Job Description:
Position Description:
• Conceptualize, design, develop and oversee complex, large scale information technology solutions/systems.
• Develop and propose new business and technical solutions and translate user objectives into actionable business, organization and technology objectives.
• Architect, design and develop integrated information technology solutions/systems and control project requirements, scope, risk and change management issues.
• Research, evaluate and stay current on emerging tools, techniques and technologies.
• Provide daily supervision and direction to systems architects or other project personnel.
• Perform technical planning, cost, risk, supportability, effectiveness analyses for the DOP EA.
• Set EA development strategy from initial planning through implementation, integration and maintenance.
• Provide vision and leadership for validation and expansion of existing conceptual framework.
• Provide vision and leadership for creation of prescriptive and Transition Architectures.
• Plan and execute developing a set of core and supporting products that constitute an architecture.
• Scale EA initiatives within the DPO organization to maximize value and support Government project needs.
• Incorporate security into EA at each level.
• Understand the relationship of DoD reference architectures, Reference Models, and business transition plans.
• Understand the relationship of data and model-based architectures and be able to select EA tools based on a critical analysis of capabilities needed by their organization.
• Understand and support EA to other enterprise initiatives including SOA, ERP, BPR and CBMSOMA.
Work Location: Northern Virginia Clearance Required: SECRET Salary: $70,000-120,000/year based on relevant experience.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications &/or Skills:
• Commercial/Government EA experience.
• Experience working within EA Frameworks (DoDAF, FEA, TEA, etc.).
• EA Reference Model knowledge and applicability.
• 5-10 years working within DoD programs.
• 10 or more years working in field of expertise.
Education Requirements:
• Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related area.
Professional Experience:
• Ten (10) years of experience in systems analysis, design, and development or automated information systems.
Additional Qualifications:
• Systems Architects are required to have demonstrated experience working in a CMMI Level 3 maturity (or similar standard) environment and two (2) years of logistics, supply chain, and/or transportation chain implementation experience.
