We have been retained by our client, in their search for Websphere Engineer, this is a Full time permanent opportunity.
This role can be located in Schenectady NY, Rochester NY or Syracuse NY
Salary range is $65-78K, negotiable based upon experience.
Open to an experienced Java Developer who wants to be trained in Websphere technology!
Responsibilities:
Performs installation, configuration, administration, tuning and maintenance of WebSphere Application Server (WAS), Network Deployment, Java, Tivoli Security Suite (Tivoli Identity Manager, Tivoli Access Manager, Tivoli Federated Identity Manager and Tivoli Directory Server). Ensures reliability and high availability of enterprise assigned environments to meet business needs. Clusters and load balances the application server and deploys third party and custom applications to the application server environment. Proactively monitors the assigned Infrastructure, resolving response time or capacity deficiencies over multiple processing centers. Creates and maintains Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning System documentation. Works with Unix and Windows systems Administrators on capacity planning, assists with server builds and installations. Ability to maintain confidentiality, adhere to regulatory compliance issues as they exist and change from time to time. Performs other duties as assigned..
Mandatory Experience:
• BA/BS Position Qualifications: Minimum in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
• Minimum of 2-4 years experience in JAVA development - specifically with Enterprise JAVA Beans 3.0, JAVA Message Service, JAVA Server Faces, XML and XSLT, RAD.
• Experience deploying to WebSphere, TomCat or BeaWeblogic.
• Extensive technical knowledge and hands-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting Application Server and Network Deployment in 24X7 production environment.
• Must have working knowledge of enterprise application servers, systems and supporting technologies including load balancing etc.
• Excellent Verbal/Written skills required.
