We have been retained by our client, in their search for Testing Manager, this is a Full time permanent opportunity.
This role can be located in Schenectady NY OR Rochester NY
Salary range is $75-83K, negotiable based upon experience.
Responsibilities:
Manages the daily activities of testing team to ensure quality delivery of our clients core applications and systems. Develops and manages the testing resource capacity plan, and works closely with IT Project Management Office to assign testing resources to projects and leverage testing tools. Develops test effort estimation based on requirements and scope, as it relates to time, effort and resources, to ensure initiatives have appropriate testing support and resources. Manages test methodologies and accurately tracks and reports testing status as they relate to specific initiatives. Provides support to testing team and acts as point of escalation for testing-related issues. Performs risk assessment, impact analysis and works with technical and business personnel to develop mitigation plans. Serves as integral member of an enterprise-wide testing team, and is responsible for following established standards and best practices. Participates in process improvement and integration initiatives. Participates in requirements gathering/reviews, and designs, creates and/or provides guidance in creation and execution of manual and automated test cases. Documents defects and works with developers, business users and project team to resolve issues. Candidate will provide assistance to IT personnel and business partners

Job Requirements:
Mandatory Experience:
• Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree required in Health Care/Business Administration, Software Quality Assurance, Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and business experience.
• Minimum Experience: 7+ years relevant IT technical work experience including 3+ years supervising/managing technical staff with excellent leadership and decision making skills.
• Experienced in leading large business system updates and changes and proven ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
• In depth knowledge and thorough understanding of standard formal testing methodologies and best practices. Excellent project management, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Understands the health care business/delivery process. Direct experience in health care/insurance strongly preferred. Able to lead and effectively facilitate meetings with both technical and business groups.
• Excellent interpersonal skills: (e.g., partnering, conflict management, mentoring), with strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to interact with all levels of business, technical and end users.
