We have been retained by our client, in their search for Network Engineer, this is a Full time contract role. Located in Schenectady NY
Hourly Pay rate is $22-25/hr, negotiable based upon experience.
Responsibilities:
Temporary staff augmentation through the end of 2008 for IT project work.
This is a senior level position whose responsibilities may include being a high level technical resource for project managers during a projects architectural planning phase, as well as hands on server build\ configuration work. It may also include working with our application analysts on business application installs\configurations and troubleshooting application issues as needed.
Mandatory Experience:
Experienced Microsoft Windows Engineer MCSE ( 4-6 yrs exp)
Very familiar with Windows 2003 Server, Active Directory, DNS, AD Group Policy and Security ect. In a large ( 200 +) server environment. Must be able to build and configure Microsoft Clusters and Network Load Balanced clusters.
Familiar with HP blade rack and blade server technology. Comfortable building and configuring HP blade based application servers. Familiar with Windows COM+ and DCOM based applications.
Excellent network and application trouble shooting skills and ability to work with application analysts on application testing and deployment issues within project timelines.
Familiarity with VMware ESX 3.x and virtual Center. May be deploying VM based application servers in testing environments to support various initiatives.
Comfortable working with project managers and vendors in high level architecture planning and design sessions. This person may have the role of subject matter expert on project related technical issues.
The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Familiarity with the Trizetto products eFacets and Integrated Pricer would be a plus, but is not required.
