Job Description:
Directs the activities and personnel of the organization through flight chiefs, including professional engineers/architects, environmental engineers/specialists, technicians, skilled craftsmen, and administrative personnel engaged in the various fields necessary for the planning, development, programming, engineering, designing, constructing, modifying, upgrading, converting, repairing, maintaining, and operating all real property facilities, buildings, and utilities systems. Subordinate supervisors may be civilian and military. Oversees the following activities: personnel management, cost accounting, financial plan preparation, budget execution, computer system development and operation, fire protection, real estate acquisition and disposal actions, preparation, execution and quality assurance of contractual services, facilities and utility repair and maintenance operations, pollution prevention and environmental compliance management, family housing management, disaster recovery and response activities, and professional engineering/architectural services. Provides executive level leadership, direction, and counsel to coordinate and execute all work. Works with commanding officers and other senior military officials of the organization in the development of the organization's primary mission goals and objectives. Monitors and evaluates progress toward meeting goals; makes adjustments in objectives, work plans, schedules and commitment of resources as required. Develops performance objectives and rates employees. Interviews candidates for subordinate positions and recommends hiring, promotions, or reassignments.
