This position exercise supervisory responsibility for two positions, an Engineering Technician III/IV and an Engineering Technician I/II. Entail professional engineering and management work requiring use of considerable independent judgment and initiative toward engineering projects concerned with planning, design, location, construction and maintenance of Municipal structures associated with solid waste management. Responsible for environmental management and regulatory compliance. Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Special Qualifications: Bachelor\'s Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field and five years of progressively responsible engineering experience. Must possess a valid driver\'s license.Substitute: Master\'s degree in Engineering may substitute for the engineering experience on a year for year basis.NOTICE If selected for hire, appointment in this position will be conditional based upon the submission of a current copy of the applicant\'s Alaska Driver\'s License and a current (dated within 30 days from date requested) copy of his/her Department of Motor Vehicle driving record, including a driving record from previous states if the Driver\'s License was first issued within one year prior to application, documenting an acceptable driving history.
