Description Firm is seeking candidates to learn all aspects of Prime Brokerage Client Service. Ideal candidates will be:AggressiveSelf motivatedQuick learnersTeam playerResponsibilities include:Supporting a group of Account Managers in performing tasks on a daily basis:Post execution trade processingMaking correcting entries to previously processed trades on the firms brokerage system and portfolio accounting (tax lot) systemsProcessing customer payments (checks and fed wires) to other financial institutionsFacilitating the matching of customer trades with executing brokersReconciling differences between the firms brokerage and portfolio accounting systemsFollowing up with clients and executing brokers on trades that have failed to settle timely (fails)Liaising on behalf of the Account Managers with support groups throughout the firm (i.e. Operations, Compliance, Trading Desk, Collateral Management, etc.)Over time, individuals will be trained in all products offered through the Prime Brokerage business (i.e. Equities, Fixed Income, Options, Swaps, Equity Linked Derivatives, F/X, etc.) and will gain a solid understanding of the clearance and settlement process, tax lot accounting, Corporate Action processing and how the firm manages risk through collateral management and margin policies
