Responsible for overseeing the career advisement and job readiness counseling component of the WF1CC. Career advisement and job readiness counseling is provided individually and in a group modality that incorporates computer based software and the use of the internet. The successful candidate provides leadership to four (4) career advisors, a workshop facilitator and a resource room coordinator. Individual must be effective in working with a diverse population. S/he will be a key member of a leadership team and must be able to collaborate effectively. Other Duties: Anticipates new program needs and implements proactive strategies. Utilizes a collaborative problem solving approach to achieve program objectives and resolve problems. Develops strategies to strengthen performance. Assists in the hiring and training of staff. Provides effective supervision on a daily basis. Establishes and monitors resource room services. Designs and coordinates orientation sessions for job seekers at the WF1CC. Designs and administers an effective referral system for job seekers seeking support services.Salary:$45,000 - $50,000 Core Competencies/Qualifications: M A required in a related are a . At least five years experience in the workforce development/career counseling field. Must possess a professional demeanor with strong customer service skills. Demonstrated supervisory and administrative experience.
